Trade-in Policy

The original owner of an instrument or bow from Violins 4 U may trade the undamaged item for a more expensive one at any time by paying the difference of the new item and the original purchase price. Take into consideration that re-hairing bows, replacing strings, touch-ups, and re-gluing will be taken out of this total. Instruments and accessories with broken wood make this policy invalid.

Re-Sell Policy

We will re-sell the instrument for the original owner at the purchase price minus only a small commission and cost of repairs, if needed. Broken instruments or overly repaired instruments will not be accepted for consignment. We will repair the instrument at no charge to the original owner if this instrument is found to be defective after the signing of the consignment contract.

Return Policy

• All accessories are to be returned with an appropriate receipt for store credit or cash/credit card refund.  If customer does not have receipt, store credit will be issued. 

• There will be no refunds or credit issued after 30 days of purchase.

• All purchased instruments and bows must be returned with an appropriate receipt for store credit only.

• Rental instruments that are returned before the end of the rental contract period will receive a refund for the remaining time.  You will only receive a refund for whole months remaining on the agreement.  Note:  Any damages made or discounts given will be deducted from your refund amount.

• Any item over $50.00 will receive store credit only.

Our Warranty

All instruments at every level are 100% guaranteed to be fine instruments in working condition for one year.  We do not cover the damage on any part of the instrument that is caused by outsiders of Violins 4 U.  For example, if he/she, outside of Violins 4 U, touches the bridge trying to adjust and breaks, we (Violins 4 U) are not responsible for the damage. 

Delinquent Rental Policy

• Renters of instruments from Violins 4 U are required to present a current credit card with an expiration date at the signing of the contract.
• It is the renter’s responsibility to inform the shop of any changes of credit card information (expirations, thefts, cancellations, etc.).
• Delinquent renters may be subject to late charges of $10 per week.
• If the renter fails to pay for an entire month (starting from the first day the contract expires) or fails to return the instrument accordingly, Violins 4 U will charge the credit card given at the signing of the contract. This will be done only if the renter has failed to contact us and make other payment arrangements.
• If the credit card that was given to Violins 4 U is false, has expired, or is declined on the day of the appropriate charging, the renter will automatically be turned in to a collection agency. The amount will total the entire value of the instrument that is indicated on the renter’s contract agreement and a $20.00 insufficient fee.

Options to Avoid Payment Delinquency

• The renter can agree to be automatically charged monthly by credit card on the day of the contract’s expiration. If the renter decides to drop off the payment or return the instrument before the expiration date, the credit card will not be charged automatically that month.
• The renter can pay up front for the entire year. By doing this, the renter can receive free instrument insurance and a 10% promotional discount.

Note: Rental instruments that are returned before the end of the rental contract period will be refunded money for only whole months that are left.

Violins 4 U wants to provide the best customer care for our clients. We pride ourselves on being very understanding with our customers. If for any reason the renter cannot make the payment on time, we always try to work with our customers to attain their needs.

Tracking down a delinquent payee takes a lot of time and effort. This is why this policy has been created.  Violins 4 U is giving the renter an entire month to pay or return their instrument after an appropriate expiration date.  Please try to be understanding of our policy and follow it accordingly.
