Alex began creating and restoring stringed instruments in Moscow more than thirty years ago, and now continues his art in the United States. He has also played and toured the world as an accomplished orchestral and chamber music violinist. He is a veteran member of the Violin Society of America as well as the Viola Society of America.

Alex has become internationally known for his work as a luthier. His instruments have received diplomas from numerous competitions in such musical centers as Cremona, Moscow, Prague, and Sofia. Concert artists throughout the world play his handmade violins, violas and cellos.

Shara Cutts

Shara joined the team at The Violin Shop of Old Carmel in August 2006.  In addition, she is currently a full-time manager at the Violins 4 U shop in Greenwood.  She went on to major in Music Performance and Music Education at Butler University and graduated in 2002.  Aside from working at the Leyvand’s violin shops, Shara teaches violin lessons and performs in the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis.

Eric Cutts

Eric Cutts

Eric has been working at Violins 4 U since May 2006. He is currently taking care of the books for the store, and also helps with building maintenance. Eric went to college at University of Indianapolis graduating in 1999 with a major in Criminal Justice. He currently works as a Fraud Investigator for a large national bank.

Christina Stone

Christina Stone

Christina Stone is a part-time associate at Violins 4 U. She has twin daughters and attends school at I.U.P.U.I. part-time. She has been a novice violinist since her 4th grade year in school and played mostly with her school organizations, including her high school's Honor's Ensemble and Symphonic Orchestra. In what little free time she has, she likes to try to pick her violin back up, read a few books, or just catch some zzz's.
